James Marshall

BLODGETT, Mo. — James A. Marshall, 68, died peacefully at his home in Blodgett on Thursday, March 30, 2022.

Jim was born June 9, 1953, in Fort Riley, Kansas. He is the son of Tom and Judy Marshall and the late Phyllis Ann Marshall. He is survived by his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Beth Marshall, Bob and Theresa Marshall; his niece, Catherine (John) Laningham; and nephews, Austin (Margaret) Marshall, Matt (Betty) Marshall, and Robbie (Dana) Marshall.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Austin Marshall Jr.

Jim was a cattleman who loved music, all animals and especially dogs. Jim was also an avid reader who had a big heart and will be missed by family and friends.

In 1976, Jim graduated from Westminster College with a degree in history and psychology. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Jim was a member of the Catholic faith.

Pallbearers will be: Hunter Moore, Don Culbertson, Mike Limbaugh, Steve Brase, Jamie Tharp, Henry Gross, Frank Marshall and David Dolan.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 10 a.m. and followed by a service at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church with Father Colby Elbert officiating.
