Miss Dogwood-Azalea Pageant to be held April 14

CHARLESTON, Mo. - The Charleston Revitalization Group “CHARM,” formerly known as the Charleston Economic Development Group, will be hosting this year’s Miss Dogwood-Azalea Pageant, with planning and coordinating conducted by ARay of Events.

The pageant will be held on Thursday, April 14 at Charleston High School’s Clara Drinkwater Newnam Auditorium, 606 South Thorn St.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and pageant begins at 6:30p.m. Admission is $5 per person; children under 2 years of age are free.

No advance ticket purchase necessary with all spectators given a chance to win a door prize, courtesy of the University of Missouri Extension of Mississippi County. Other sponsors and contributors to this event include Focus Bank, Mueller’s at Day3Seeds, Terri K’s Heartland Florist & Gifts, William Wade Photography, and Masters Entertainment.

All proceeds from the event benefit CHARM’s initiative to restore and preserve Charleston’s historic integrity, attract new business, and enhance community engagement through the implementation of the Missouri Main Street Program.
