Jean Bonifield

MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Jean Alice Spillman Bonifield, 83, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022.

She was an only child born to Eugene R. and Grace (Henard) Spillman of Cairo, Illinois, on Oct. 17, 1938. She graduated from Cairo High School in 1956.

She married Alfred Bonifield in 1959 and had three children before divorcing.

She was a devoted homemaker caring for her three children and loved reading her bible, quilting, crocheting and baking. Survivors include: her son, Michael “Mike” Bonifield of Bell City, Missouri; and two daughters, Cheryl (Paul) Simmons of Rochester, Indiana, and Susan (Dale) Todt of Jackson, Missouri, and two granddaughters, Emily and Julia Todt, of Jackson.

There will be a celebration of life planned for a later date.

Arrangements were under the care of Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
