ORAN, Mo. — Lawrence Dean Miles, 62, of Oran, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at St. Clair Hospital in Fenton, Missouri.
He was born on March 9, 1960, to BT Miles and Wilhelmina Miles of Benton, Missouri. Dean graduated from Thomas W. Kelly High School in Benton and he lived in the Benton and Morley, Missouri, area most of his life.
He owned and operated Dig Rite Backhoe Service and he was engaged in the hay business for many years.
Survivors include his good friend Teresa Clark of Morley, his father BT Miles, three brothers and a sister. He was proceeded in death by his mother and a brother.
A memorial service will be held for Dean at the Blissett Divine Temple in Oran on Highway 61 on April 30 at 11 a.m. It will be officiated by the Reverends Michael Blissett, David Thompson and John Avance.
Immediately following the service a pot luck lunch will be held at Cookson Seeds at 22092 on Highway 61. Bring a covered dish, your lawn chairs and your favorite story about Dean. He was loved by everyone he knew and there are plenty of funny stories to tell.
