Richie Babb

LILBOURN, Mo. — Richard Gene “Richie” Babb, 54, of Lilbourn passed away April 13, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born July 20, 1967, in Hayti, Missouri, to Ray (wife Georgia) Babb of New Madrid, Missouri, and the late Clara Helen Laws.

On July 21, 1989, he was married to Mary Mooring Babb; she survives of Lilbourn.

Richie owned his own welding service, loved his cars, fishing and his dogs.

Survivors include: children, Angela Michelle Babb of Lilbourn, Brandon Lee Babb of Lilbourn; one brother, Rowdy Gene and wife Jessica Babb of Portageville, Missouri; two sisters, Shannon Lynn Lane and husband Austin Johnson of Portageville, Tonya Rae Babb of Portageville; two stepbrothers, Kevin Morgan of New Madrid, Richard Morgan of Brighton, Tennessee; one grandchild, Katherine Rose Jackson; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his mom, he was also preceded in death by one son, Richard Gene Babb II; and one granddaughter, Skylar Beth Jackson.

Services were conducted Monday, April 18 at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
