Two from Sikeston area arrested for robbing store in Chaffee
CHAFFEE, Mo. — Two people from the Sikeston area have been arrested for robbing the Rhodes 101 in Chaffee.
Brandace A. Seabaugh and Jreece J. Johnson have been charged with first degree robbery and armed criminal action by the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Both are being held without bond.
According to the Chaffee Police Department, the robbery occurred April 11 when two subjects, believed to be males, wearing hoodies, with their faces covered, entered the store near the coolers for a few minutes and then walked to the area near the south side of the store.
The clerk had briefly stepped back into the back room and when he came out he was confronted by the subjects. The subjects brandished a dark colored pistol and demanded a clerk to open the register. Once the register was opened, an undisclosed amount of cash was taken by the suspects, who exited the store and ran to the south.
The getaway vehicle was described as a white colored Dodge Charger that was missing a right front wheel/hub cap that left south on State Highway 77.
Chaffee Police said the investigation is still ongoing and additional arrests are pending.
