EUREKA, Mo. — Dakoka Ann Thorne, age 82, passed away on April 27, 2022, at Victorian Gardens in Eureka.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1939, in Sikeston, to the late Joseph Franklin and Nancy Thelma Burris Stacy.

On Oct. 3, 1958, in Cairo, Illinois, she married David Thorne who survives of the home in Eureka.

She attended Sikeston High School and was a Bulldog Red Pepper; she retired from Ferguson Medical Group after 40 years of service.

She attended Gray Ridge General Baptist Church in Grayridge, Missouri, and The Lighthouse Church in Dexter, Missouri.

She is survived by one son, Mark (Danna) Thorne of Eureka; one daughter, Renae Thorne of Dexter; one sister, JoAnn (Ty) Hale of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Peyton Thorne, Derek (Morgan) Masters and Heather Ruedrich; and five great-grandchildren, Zane Ruedrich, Katie McMillan, Tristen Masters, Brynleigh Masters and Layken Masters; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Bryant and Joeretta Stacy.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Tim Russell, pastor of The Lighthouse Church in Dexter, officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Blake Cook, Drew Thorne, Nicholas Heisserer, Wade Thorne, Derek Masters and Cory Fitzpatrick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tristen Masters and Zane Ruedrich.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
