Don’t improve Legion Park

Please let us enjoy Legion Park as it is, revised and improved. All of the things suggested in the new plan could be done in Malone Park. Do we really need a pavilion, no matter how well intentioned that suggestion may have been, when there are trees for shade and space available in Malone Park? Develop Malone Park. And please do not put a public restroom on a corner in the middle of downtown with all the known problems of maintaining and overseeing its use. Ask any realtor, no one wants to locate near or ro have to view a public restroom — there are other locations available which need to be considered when thinking about the present, and the future development of Downtown Sikeston.
