Sikeston R-6 seeks stakeholder input

SIKESTON — As part of the Sikeston R-6 School District’s strategic planning process, the district has launched an online survey to obtain stakeholder input.

“We want to hear from the Bulldog Nation as we develop our strategic plan,” said Sikeston R-6 Superintendent Shannon Holifield.

The online survey will allow stakeholders to share their thoughts on district performance and priorities, Holfield said.

The district has engaged GlennView, a consulting firm located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to assist with the strategic planning process, and recently conducted six focus groups with stakeholders including the Board of Education, administrators, faculty and staff, students, parents, and business and community leaders.

Two stakeholder retreats will be held to finalize the district’s strategic plan. The district anticipates completing the process early in the fall semester.

The online survey will be open through 8 a.m. Aug. 9 and can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SikestonR6.

Questions about the process, or opportunities to provide feedback, can be directed to Jeff Glenn at jglenn@glennpr.com or (573) 270-4053.
