New New Madrid city clerk appointed

NEW MADRID, Mo. - Paige Keene is New Madrid’s new city clerk.

Keene was officially appointed city clerk at the Aug. 22 City Council meeting by Mayor Donnie Brown. She replaces Kendra Gregg, who resigned in June.

A native of Risco, Keene is a graduate of Risco High School. She earned her associate degree in general education from Three Rivers College.

Recently she married Garrison Keene.

Keene described her new job as very diverse.

“There are a lot of things this position takes care of,” she said. “I look forward to learning and doing the best I can.”
