CHARLESTON, Mo. — Suzanne Zoellner Lee passed away peacefully in her home in Charleston on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022. Born Feb. 3, 1951, at Cairo, Illinois, to the late Delbert J. Zoellner and Mary Doris Winger Zoellner, Suzanne was a lifelong resident of Charleston and a 1970 graduate of Charleston High School.

CHARLESTON, Mo. — Suzanne Zoellner Lee passed away peacefully in her home in Charleston on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022.

Born Feb. 3, 1951, at Cairo, Illinois, to the late Delbert J. Zoellner and Mary Doris Winger Zoellner, Suzanne was a lifelong resident of Charleston and a 1970 graduate of Charleston High School. Suzanne’s greatest joys came from golfing, reading, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

On Dec. 26, 1975, she married Jesse Frank Lee Jr., who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, affectionately known as Frank, Suzanne leaves behind a legacy of love that includes her children, Jason (Heather) Lee of Lakeland, Florida, Scott (Jenny) Lee of Providence Forge, Virginia, and Amanda (Andy) Jones of Sikeston, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jason (Tori) Lee Jr., Steven Lee, Alanna Jones, Anderson Jones, Blake Ganuelas, Preston Lee and Saylor Lee; one great-grandchild, Asher Lee; brothers and sisters, Martin (Jeannie) Zoellner, Beth Zoellner and Sarah Jo Zoellner; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Zoellner and Rosemary Earl.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Private burial will follow at a later date at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Arrangements are under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
