Norman Darter Jr.

CAMPBELL, Mo. — Norman J. Darter Jr., age 71, passed away on Oct. 5, 2022, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

He was born on Oct. 26, 1950, in Matthews, Missouri, to the late Grady and Mary Bratton Darter.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Norman retired from Town and Country Supermarket in Dexter, Missouri, after 30 years of service.

He is survived by one brother, Jerry (Carolyn) Darter of St. Louis, Missouri; and one sister, Vanetta Sindle of Sikeston, Missouri, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Brother Ron Shrum officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Norman’s nephews, Derreck Darter, Lester Powell, Gordon Powell, Blake Sindle and Justin Sindle.
