Neal Ross
NEW MADRID, Mo. — Aubrey “Neal” Ross, age 86, passed away on Oct. 16, 2022, at New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid.
He was born on May 15, 1936, in Lilbourn, Missouri, to the late Aubrey Oren and Ora “Ve” Nuckolls Ross.
On May 31, 1959, in Lilbourn, he married Barbara Ashley Ross who survives of the home in Sikeston, Missouri.
Neal was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed all types of hunting, especially deer hunting at his cabin in VanBuren, Missouri; he loved to attend all of his grandchildren’s sporting events.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Ashley (Sara) Ross of Knoxville, Tennessee; two daughters, Tara Su (David) Gelsheimer of Benton, Missouri, and Renee’ (Tim) Williams of Sikeston; one sister, Sallie Ann (Walter) Hill of Newburg, Indiana.; seven grandchildren, Ross Gelsheimer, Austin Gelsheimer, Colton Young, Ashton Young, Aubrey Anne Ross, Preston Ross and Sterling Ross; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston with Keith Olbricht officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Littleton and Jason Taylor.
