BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — LeAnn Ryan has been chosen as the first assistant prosecutor in Stoddard County.
Ryan will begin on Jan. 1, 2023 and will assist in the prosecution of state law violations occurring in Stoddard County.
“LeAnn Ryan’s appointment is great news for the people of Stoddard County,” said Sawyer Smith, Stoddard County prosecuting attorney in a statement. “Mrs. Ryan is a most professional attorney and passionate advocate for victims of crime. She has a breadth of legal experience and depth of legal knowledge.”
Ryan’s past positions include Pemiscot County assistant prosecutor, Scott County assistant prosecutor, New Madrid County juvenile attorney, Missouri Department of Transportation attorney, City of Miner attorney and private practice attorney including general practice at Holden Law Office in Dexter, Missouri.
Ryan, formerly known as LeAnn Pearson, was a 2001 graduate of Sikeston High School, 2005 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and 2009 graduate of Mississippi College School of Law. While earning her juris doctorate degree she worked as a clerk for a private law firm and also as a Guardian Ad Litem for MC Law’s Child Advocacy Clinic.
Ryan and her family members reside in Sikeston where they attend First United Methodist Church. She is married to Drew Ryan and they have three children.
