Another round of light, accumulating snowfall is expected Monday afternoon into evening in Southeast Missouri, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky.
Forecasters say late Monday afternoon, another cold front will sweep through the region, lowering temperatures back into the mid to lower 20s. This front will likely be accompanied by another round of snowfall.
Current indications is this round will be lighter than this morning’s snowfall, with accumulations up to around 1 inch expected, the Weather Service said. Early Monday’s snowfall brought between 1 and 2 inches of snow.
Travelers should be prepared to exercise caution and monitor for forecast updates through the day.
