SPS Foundation names its SHS students of the month for December

Tyler McHaffie and Emma Qualls were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for December.

Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the honor during the 2022-2023 school year.

McHaffie is the son of John McHaffie and Susan McHaffie. He plays soccer and tennis, and he is active in National Honors Society DECA, SkillsUSA, SHS Inspired, Link Crew, FCA leader and BUMs. In his spare time, he enjoys playing ping pong, going to the gym and running.

Qualls, who is the daughter of Travis and Jamie Qualls, serves as the Red Peppers Demerit chair, Student Council beautification committee chair, student body treasurer, ASTRA vice president, Chi Alpha Youth Group president. She is also active in National Honors Society, Inspired Presenters and Link Crew. Her hobbies include playing the violin, drawing, painting, playing video games, hanging out with friends and doing volunteer work.
