City of Sikeston warns of online pay tax scam

The City of Sikeston has been notified of a scam where residents are believing they are paying their city taxes online.

Users are being directed to a website at doxo.com and asked to give their bank information, according to city officials. However, the City of Sikeston has no affiliation with the website and payment is not received when using the site.

The City of Sikeston does not offer an online pay option. Residents can pay their taxes at City Hall, 105 E. Center St., or may mail in their payment to the same address.
