Arlon Pulliam

MOREHOUSE, Mo. — Arlon Euel Pulliam, age 72, of Morehouse went to his heavenly home on Jan. 11, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born Jan. 10, 1951, in Morehouse, where he lived most of his life. He was the son of the late Willie Euel and Christine Jewel (Greer) Pulliam.

Arlon was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors. He always grew a summer garden which he would share the fruit of his labors with his family and friends. His family especially looked forward to eating his home cooked meals. He was a cat lover, and it was utmost important for his fur babies to be cared for in his absence. Before his retirement, he was self-employed as a carpenter/home repairman and ran a wrecker service.

His beloved grandchildren cherish the memories of the many stories he told and usually asked "Paw Paw" to tell more. He was a devout Christian and shared his faith with those he interacted with. He kept notes from weekly sermons from Dr. Charles Stanley and enjoyed listening to gospel music.

He is survived by his only child, Constance Ditto of Sikeston; his three grandchildren, Emma Grace Michael, Conner Michael, and Jack Ditto; and a host of lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Connie Wright.

Services were held Jan. 17 at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Arlon's former pastor and dear friend, Brother Jerry Adams, officiated.

Interment was held at the Garden of Memories in Sikeston.
