ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Jerry Pearson, age 77, formerly of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away on Feb. 28, 2023, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.

He was born Nov. 2, 1945, in Sikeston, to the late Howard and Doris Anderson Pearson.

On Nov. 27, 1981, in Sikeston, Missouri, he married Brenda Graham Pearson who survives of the home in Arnold, Missouri.

Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 2593 and a member of the Eagles Post 3678; he worked 52 years with the I.B.E.W. local 1 as a journeyman electrician before retiring. Jerry loved to be outdoors, he was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball in his younger years but above all he loved and cherished his family and he loved spending time with them and making memories.

In addition to his wife, Brenda of 43 years, he is survived by one son, Jeff (Teresa) Pearson of East Prairie, Missouri; two daughters, Jenny Pearson of Maumelle, Arkansas, and Monica (Lee) Mays of Sikeston; two brothers, Mike (Diana) Pearson of Sikeston and Roger Graham of Sikeston; two sisters, Linda Doran of Sikeston and Shirley (Jerry) Kellogg of Bigelow, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Strader, Brittany (Brandon) Wilson, Madeleine, Emma, Julianna and Jack Pearson; seven great-grandchildren, Kylie, Vivian and Sylas Strader; Cooper, Dylan, Zaylie and Charley Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Brother Joe McCullough, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.

Interment with military honors will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be: Christopher Strader, Eric Graham, Brandon Wilson, Cooper Wilson, Jack Pearson, Damon Pearson and Derek Pearson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Graham and Lee Mays.
