LILBOURN, Mo. — Herman Leroy Moser, age 87, passed away Aug. 14, 2023, at his home in Lilbourn, Missouri. He was born June 22, 1936, in Lathem, Illinois, son of the late John E. Moser and Pauline Beatrice Collins Moser. Herman was a member of First Baptist Church in Lilbourn and had been a crane operator for Noranda Aluminum 39 years before retiring. LILBOURN, Mo. — Herman Leroy Moser, age 87, passed away Aug. 14, 2023, at his home in Lilbourn, Missouri.

He was born June 22, 1936, in Lathem, Illinois, son of the late John E. Moser and Pauline Beatrice Collins Moser.

Herman was a member of First Baptist Church in Lilbourn and had been a crane operator for Noranda Aluminum 39 years before retiring. He loved his church, had many friends, rebuilt motors, loved crossword puzzles and cars, and had a pleasant soul.

He was married to Pauline W. Edge Moser; they were married 66 years and raised three children.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Moser; three daughters, Linda J. Moser, Kathy Lynn Duncan, and Sandy Moser Smith; two brothers, John Everett ‘Sonny’ Moser and James Albert Moser; one sister, Shirley Jean Moser; two grandchildren, Joseph Duncan and Lyndsey Nicole Adams; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Trudy Jane Moser.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 17, from 5 p.m. until time of memorial services at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lilbourn. Brother Gene Lancaster will officiate. Ponder Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
