Schrumpf, Lancaster named October Students of Month

SIKESTON — Cate Schrumpf and Jackson “Jax” Lancaster were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for October.

Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the honor during the 2023-2024 school year. Students also receive a certificate and gift card from the Foundation.

Schrumpf, who is the daughter of Catherine and Jason Schrumpf, participates in varsity cheerleading, the state cheerleading competition squad, varsity soccer, Red Peppers, Student Council, Key Club, FCA, FBLA, DECA, Link Crew, ASTRA and Interact Club She is also an A+ Program mentor, Youth Advisory Council member for Sikeston Parks and Recreation and community volunteer for the Sikeston area Salvation Army unit. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing sports and volunteering in her community.

Lancaster is the son of Jay and Camille Lancaster. He is active in wrestling, FBLA, FCA, DECA, Key Club, Bums, NHS, Bulldog Barker, Spread Hope Now and the Interact Club. His hobbies include fishing, playing pickle ball, working out and hanging with friends.
