Janice Wilson
BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Janice Elaine Smith Wilson, age 59, passed away on Oct. 26, 2023, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born on March 5, 1964, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to the late William “Beck” Smith and Bonnie Barnes Smith who survives of the home in Sikeston.
On June 10, 2021, in Bloomfield, she married Ronald Wilson who survives of the home in Bloomfield.
She was a member of Grayridge General Baptist Church in Grayridge, Missouri. She retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation in Sikeston. Janice was a great wife, mother, mamaw, daughter and friend.
She is survived by two daughters, Ashley (Landon) Wheeler of Essex, Missouri, and Jena (Derrick) Mitchell of Essex; two brothers, Woodrow Smith of Sikeston and John Smith of Sikeston; six grandchildren, Abbigale (Andrew) Partenberry, Ashland Wheeler, Gunner Bugg, Ryce Wheeler, Ryder Enos and Cayden Davidson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with David Wilson and Derrick Mitchell officiating.
Interment will follow in the New Essex Cemetery in Essex.
Pallbearers will be: Andrew Partenberry, Landon Wheeler, Derrick Mitchell, David Wheeler, Randy Manes and Mark Branson.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Cayden Davidson, Ryder Enos, Ryce Wheeler, Gunner Bugg, Kamden Gates, Woodrow Smith and John Smith.
