Dennis Moody
PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. — Dennis Franklin Moody was born on Jan. 5, 1946, in Braggadocio, Missouri, to the late Opal Hutson and Edd M. Moody Sr. He passed away on March 5, 2024, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 78 years and 2 months.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Opal Hutson and Edd M. Moody Sr.; his brothers, Charles and Ed Moody Jr.; and his sisters, Juanita Rone, Geri Hulshof and Etha Rae Downing.
He was united in marriage Aug. 13, 1966, in Portageville, to Anne Robertson.
Dennis loved hunting for just about anything that was in season. He also loved to fish; he lived to farm and work the land. He owned and operated Spray Tech with his boys and made the business grow to what it is today. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy.
He leaves to cherish his many memories his wife: Anne Moody of Portageville; his sons, Dennis “Denny” (Janet) Moody II of Caruthersville, Missouri, and Mark (Tara) Moody of Portageville; his grandchildren; Amanda Penn, Mikel Moody, Kenndy Howard, MadalaineMoody; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 10 at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11.
