Sikeston kindergarten screenings approaching

SIKESTON — Sikeston R-6 School District will host kindergarten screenings for the 2024-2025 school year April 9-12 at the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.

Children who will be 5 years old by July 31 are eligible. Hours of the screening are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 9; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 10; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 11; and 8 a.m. to noon Friday, April 12.

Parents should bring the state-issued birth certificate, shot record, proof of residency, Social Security number and if applicable, Medicaid card. Call 471-0653 for an appointment.
