German Padilla

BRENTWOOD, N.Y. — German Tito Padilla, 73 years of age, of Brentwood, New York, passed away on March 10, 2024, at Maria Regina, Brentwood. He was born Oct. 11, 1950, in Puerto Rico, to Ramon and Rosa Padilla.

He served nearly 21 years in the United States Air Force before retiring at the rank of Tech Sergeant. He then went on to work in the public sector in positions that included security, shipping and distribution, finally retiring from Sunrise Medical Laboratories.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen of the home; sisters, Anna Lebron (Wes), Hilda Negron (William); brother, Louis Padilla and prayerfully Raymond Padilla. He is also survived by his children: Melanie (Kevin) McCord, Marcia (James) Stafford, Christopher (Sharon) Padilla and Carlos (Tracie) Padilla along with his beautiful grandchildren: Shari, Steven, Sarah, Alex, Kyle and a grandchild on the way and six great- grandchildren: Mason, Jaxon, Klayton, Adrian, Peyton and Ella. 

Tito was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Rosa Padilla, son in Law Brent A. Smith and many others that gathered at the gates to welcome him home.

Mass was performed at Blessed Sacrament Church in Brooklyn, New York. German was then cremated per his wishes and will be interred with his parents at Cypress Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn at a future date.

Ponce Funeral home of Brooklyn are in charge of arrangements.
