SHS/SPS Foundation Students of the Month for April named

SIKESTON — Abigail DeShaney and Michael Walton were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for April.

Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the honor during the 2023-2024 school year. Students also receive a certificate and gift card from the Foundation.

DeShaney, who is the daughter of Shannon and Tori Rose, is active in softball, Student Council, Future Teachers of America and Bums. In her spare time, she enjoys working, going to the gym and traveling.

Walton participates in varsity tennis, National Honors Society, Student Council, and he is a Bleacher Bums officer. The son of Carrie Walton and Dr. Jeffrey Walton, he lists his hobbies as hanging out with friends and hunting.
