Letter: Native American facts

Friday, May 3, 2024

Dear Editor:

In 1923, a Native America named Minnie Spotted-Wolf was born. She was of the Black Foot Tribe. In 1943, she served in the United States Marine Corps, four years as a heavy equipment operator. In 1988, she crossed over to the spirit world. She was the first Native American female to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps.

I also done research over time on the Jamestown Colony from the Google website. Have you ever heard about Jamestown cannibalism? I Googled, “Jamestown cannibalism” and “Meet Jane.” She was a 14-year-old girl of Jamestown Colony who died. I asked 30 people have they ever heard of Jamestown Colony cannibalism and no one every heard of it. So, now you know.
