SIKESTON – Jersey Mike’s locations nationwide accepted donations throughout March in honor of its “Month of Giving” and 100% of its sales on March 27, its “Day of Giving,” for more than 200 charities.
The Sikeston Jersey Mike’s set out to support a local organization that touches hundreds of Sikeston students, Bulldog Pantry. With help from the entire Sikeston community, Jersey Mike’s was able to raise $9,106 for Bulldog Pantry as it continues its mission of supporting students with basic need items.
“We are overwhelmed by the support received from the Sikeston community and Jersey Mike’s during its Month of Giving and Day of Giving. Their donation will support Bulldog Pantry’s mission for six to eight months,” said Lynne DeWitt, Bulldog Pantry Organizer. “Sikeston schools will break for summer vacation next month, but Bulldog Pantry’s work will not pause. We will continue serving students through the summer months. Jersey Mike’s donation will help us do so and then continue into the next school year.”
The Month of Giving campaign allowed guests to donate to Bulldog Pantry in a variety of ways. They were invited to round up their purchase or make a flat donation to Bulldog Pantry at check out.
On March 27, Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving,” 100 percent of the day’s sales – not just profit – went to Bulldog Pantry. At the same time, Jersey Mike’s locations across the United States supported 200+ charities in their individual markets. Over 25 million dollars was raised for charities across the Jersey Mike’s franchise system.
