Mize awarded Morley VFW scholarship

MORLEY, Mo. — Scott County Central’s High School graduate Zavior Mize is the 2024 recipient of a Morley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5368 scholarship.

As part of its community development, patriotism promotion and future generations investment, Morley VFW Post 5368 donated scholarships to local 2024 high school graduates.

The school’s scholarship committee reacted quickly to utilize the VFW Post’s donation, according to David Speidel on behalf of Clyde Curtis, Post Commander Education Chairperson Morley VFW Post 5368.

“We are very pleased to be a sponsor in this young man’s future,” Speidel said. “The VFW, first established over hundred years ago to help Veterans in need. Recognizing that investment in our youth was critical to fostering patriotism over 50 years ago the national education scholarship were established. This scholarship is our local Post’s initiative.”
