John Holbert
SIKESTON — John Stephen Holbert, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born on Aug. 30, 1953, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Rufus “John” and Bobbie Jean Smith Holbert. On Feb. 7, 2009, in Franklin, Tennessee, he married Laura Chaney Knoeppel Holbert, who survives of the home in Sikeston.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one stepson, Adam (Leigha) Knoeppel of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Stephanie (Brian) Caruthers of Springfield, Missouri; nine stepgrandchildren; and two sisters, Rhonda Holbert Wilson and Rita Holbert Park of Knoxville.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sikeston.
Interment will be held at a later date at the Lynnhurst Cemetery in Knoxville.
