NEW MADRID, Mo. — Lillie B. Newson passed away peacefully the morning of Saturday, June 29, 2024, with the love of her family surrounding her.

She was born Dec. 12, 1945, in Tate County, Mississippi, to the late Jessie and Annie B. Woods Newson Sr.

A Celebration of Lillie’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, with visitation starting at noon and the funeral at 1 p.m. at the New Madrid Baptist Church, 1240 Scott St., New Madrid.

An Interment will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron, Missouri.

Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
