LILBOURN, Mo. — Lisa Michelle Reed, age 57, of Lilbourn passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, surrounded by her family at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

Lisa was born in Sikeston, to Sandra Holland and Dennis Townsend, on Sept. 26, 1966. She was lovingly raised in Lilbourn by her mother Sandra Giddens and Jon Giddens.

Lisa was a 1984 graduate of New Madrid County High School. After graduation, she attended the Sikeston Public Schools' Nursing Program where she earned her LPN license in 1989. She had a passion for helping others and worked several nursing jobs during her career before retiring in 2023. Lisa was a member of the VFW Post 7183 of Lilbourn. She also enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren, but most of all, she enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family.

Lisa was united in marriage to James Reed on Dec. 8, 2001, in Blue Springs, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, James Reed; her father, Jon Giddens, both of Lilbourn; and her four sons, Anthony (Rachael) Roberts and their children, Ayden, Asher, and Ayrasun, of New Madrid, Missouri; Austin (Lauren) Roberts and their children Maja and Aria, of Blue Springs; Landon Reed and Dakota Roberts, both of Lilbourn; three daughters, Jenna Nicole Reed of Lilbourn; Victoria Reed and her daughter Elliana of Marston, Missouri; and Jillian Reed of St. Louis, Missouri; her sister, Courtney (Lacey) Giddens and their children, Elijah, Lindsey, and Kaylyn, of Lilbourn; and a host of many other relatives and friends.

Lisa is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Holland Giddens; her biological father, Dennis Townsend; her grandparents, J.P. and Virginia Holland, W.L. and Ellenora Giddens and Alfred and Pauline Townsend.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with Rev. G.L. Keene officiating.

Burial will follow with DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville in charge of arrangements.

A celebration of life will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the Matthews Jaycees Building.
