SIKESTON — The congregation of Tanner Street Church of God, 619 Tanner St, in Sikeston celebrated their outgoing pastor, Georg Karl, with a retirement picnic July 28 in their family life center. Karl took over as interim pastor in 2020 and recently decided to retire to Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, where he plans to spend time on the lake. Karl is pictured preaching his last sermon July 28 at the church.
