SIKESTON — The State/FEMA Disaster Recovery Center, or DRC, in the YMCA of Southeast Missouri in Sikeston will temporarily close for one day on Saturday, Aug. 24 due to annual building maintenance.

All DRCs are closed on Sundays. The center in Sikeston will reopen Monday morning at the YMCA in Sikeston and resume regular hours until further notice: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

A DRC is a one-stop shop for disaster survivors who have applied for FEMA assistance to present additional documentation or get information about their cases.  In addition to FEMA staff, representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to help survivors apply for low-interest disaster loans to help fund recovery efforts.

For more disaster-related information, visit the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency online at www.sema.dps.mo.gov or FEMA at www.fema.gov and www.fema.gov/disaster/4803.
