Three Lilbourn residents facing felony charges

NEW MADRID, Mo. — Three Lilbourn residents are facing federal charges.

Michael Ryan Bush, 41, is charged with a federal warrant for felon in possession of a firearm, Thomas Phillips Jr., 54, is charged with methamphetamine distribution and drug user in possession of a firearm, and Bryan Nelson, 36 is charge with felon in possession of a firearm. All three are currently being held at the Mississippi County Jail pending transfer to a federal holding facility.

According to a news release from New Madrid County Sheriff Ronnie Adams, the three men were charged after months of investigation by a New Madrid police officer assigned to the SEMO Drug Task Force.

On Sept. 3, officers with SEMO Drug Task Force, New Madrid County Sheriff’s Office and New Madrid Police Department took the three suspects into custody without incident.

Further indictments are expected, stemming from the investigation,” Adams said in the news release.
