SIKESTON — Bryan Crites, age 66, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 7, 2024, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born Feb. 10, 1958, to Allen S. Crites and Shirley M. Crites in Sikeston.

He is survived by the love of his life of 35 years, Brenda Underwood Crites; one son and daughter-in-law, Branston (Annie) Keefer; his mother, Shirley M. Crites; a special niece, Macie Thurmond Brown; six grandchildren, Kennedy Keefer, Aubrey Johnson, Katherine Keefer, Addisyn Keefer, Autumn Keefer and Branston Keefer II; also two brothers, Lee Crites (Henry Mendoza) of Kansas City, Missouri; and David (Susan Northcott) Crites by of New Port News, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Crites; and a niece, Mary Dooley.

Bryan was a Sikeston High School graduate, class of 1976. He was a drummer in the marching band and jazz band. He then joined the Sikeston Police Department and served as a detective. In 1992, he went to work for his father and the late Myron Kegley as a sheet metal fabricator and HVAC technician, a business that he took over and ran until 2021 when he retired.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Life Church in Sikeston with David Craig and Jennifer Moxley officiating.
