Lori Nolla

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Loraine (Lori) Nolla, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 2, 2024, in St. Louis surrounded by family.

Lori was born the fourth of five children. She was raised in rural Goddard, Kansas, and attended St. Mark’s Elementary School. She graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, Kansas, as Salutatorian in 1978. Lori attended Wichita State University and the University of Kansas, followed by the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree. She found great purpose in her chosen field of OB/GYN, caring for women in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Colorado over her 35-year career. She developed close ties and deep friendships everywhere she went. Her humor, intelligence, ingenuity, determination and caring spirit were a source of inspiration for many. For as many new lives as she brought into the world, she amazingly managed to touch so many more. Words can never convey how greatly she will be missed.

Lori is preceded in death by her father, LaVern Lee Brown. She is survived by her children Dr. Kyle Nolla (Kyle Barnick) of Baltimore, Maryland, Samuel Nolla (Columbia, Missouri) and Andrea (Andie) Nolla (Columbia); siblings Marc (Denise) Brown (Wichita), Jennifer Winter (Arvada, Colorado), Suzann (Guy) Grabau (Twin Lakes, Colorado), and Mitch (Alison) Brown (Littleton, Colorado); and 13 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and -nephews.

Services are forthcoming and will be announced at a later date with St. Louis Cremation in charge of arrangements.
