SIKESTON — Amanda Dennis, Sikeston Board of Municipal Utilities employee and member of the 2024 Leadership Sikeston Class, paints a table Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Lincoln Park in Sikeston while Sikeston High School Bums and other members of Leadership Sikeston mulch the playground area. The good deeds were part of Sikeston Good Neighbor Week which is Sept. 23-27 and organized by the 2024 Leadership Sikeston Class. As part of the special week, each day spotlights something in the community to encourage neighborly behavior. For example, Wednesday was focused on beautifying Sikeston. Thursday focused on raising mental health awareness, and Friday will promote random acts of kindness. Earlier in the week, Monday supported located nonprofits, and Tuesday was about being active.
