FARMINGTON, Mo. — James Bradley “Brad” Simpson, age 62, of Farmington, formerly of New Madrid County, Missouri, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024.

He was born May 14, 1962, in Sikeston, Missouri, to the late Loyne Dalton Simpson and Ann Naomi Porter Simpson. Brad was an assistant manager and dedicated employee for various Wal-Mart stores in the area for 31 years. During this time, he acquired many lifelong friendships. Throughout his career, he made a positive impact on the lives of many. He mentored countless individuals, helping them achieve their goals and reach their full potential. His dedication to his work and his commitment to excellence set him apart as a true leader in his field.

In 1991, he married Rhonda Myracle, and they had their only daughter, Brittany. Brad was a loving father who spent a lot of his time spoiling his daughter and always putting her needs first.

Survivors include: his daughter, Brittany (Preston) Shoemaker; brothers: Larry (Mary Lou) Simpson, Bobby Simpson, Dalton (Terri) Simpson and Bruce Simpson; sisters, Marcy Faulkner (Sam) and Sandy Thompson; grandchildren, Taryn and Tripp Shoemaker.

He was preceded in death by his parents Loyne Simpson and Ann Porter Simpson; brother, Jerry Simpson; sister, Joyce Patterson; and brother-in-law Kenny Thompson.

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3 p.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Interment will follow will at Mounds Park Cemetery in New Madrid County under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
