Mary Beaver
SIKESTON — Mary Joyce Beaver, age 91, passed away on Sept. 27, 2024, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She was born on May 12, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Lyman and Ella Van Horn Wood.
On June 8, 1956, in Wester Groves, Missouri, she married Gordon Beaver who preceded her in death on June 28, 2005.
She retired from Sikeston Public Schools after 35 years as a school teacher.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Beaver of Springhill, Florida, and Gary (Debbie) Beaver of Dunnellon, Florida; one brother, Ralph Wood; and one grandson, Alan Beaver.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with Jennifer Moxley, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
