SIKESTON — Anna Mae Howell Berry, age 91, of Sikeston died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 17, 1933, at Wyatt, Missouri, to the late Mike R. Howell and Bessie B. Cotner Howell, she grew up in Wyatt and moved in 1964 to Sikeston, where she made her home and raised her family. She was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Miner, Missouri.

On May 20, 1950, she married George Ray Berry Sr., who preceded her in death April 11, 1996.

Surviving are her children, Michael Berry, Dianne BerryCummins, George Ray Berry Jr., Christopher Berry and Brian Berry; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-children; also, nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Charles Berry and Sonja Berry Warning; and her brothers, Ray Howell and Roy Howell.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. John Tarter, pastor of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be her son, Christopher Berry; and grandsons, Derrick Cummins, Justin Berry, Matt Berry, Devin Berry, Brandon T. Berry and Ashton Berry.
