Larry Luber

SIKESTON — Larry B. Luber died on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of the late Lawrence B. and Beulah F. Luber. He was born on July 9, 1942, in Vanduser, Missouri.

Mr. Luber attended St. Francis Xavier grade school and graduated from Sikeston High School in 1960. Mr. Luber was in the trucking business for several years. He then attended University of Memphis Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review.

Upon graduating from law school in 1970, Mr. Luber clerked for U.S. District Court Judge James Meredith in St. Louis. He then practiced law at Armstrong Teasdale LLP before joining Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, PC where he became a partner. He then worked for several private companies, including as a vice president at the Mills Corporation, until he retired in 2000.

Mr. Luber is survived by his wife, Mary, and his stepdaughter, Lisa Hu (Luke). He leaves four brothers, Judge Byron Luber (Nancy) of Caruthersville, Missouri, Paul Luber of Sikeston, Greg Luber (Sherryl) and Tom Luber all of St. Louis. One brother, Charles Luber, predeceased him. He leaves behind several nephews and great-nephews and one great-niece.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. in Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
