WARDELL, Mo. — Curtis Calvin “CC” Hankins, 80, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at Daybreak Nursing Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

Born Oct. 29, 1943, in Wardell, he was the son of the late Marie Clara White Hankins and Melvin Curtis Hankins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Young Hankins; daughter, Vicki Thomas; and sister, Ireeda Comer.

He loved to deer hunt, talk to people and spread joy and laughter to everyone.

Survivors include: Jeannette Sexton of Portageville, Missouri; daughters, Sherry Neal (Robert) Wimauma of Florida and Joy (Bob) Rubley of Coldwater, Michigan; granddaughter, Katie (Thomas) Sides of Caruthersville, Missouri; brothers, Melvin Hankins of Tinley Park, Illinois, Jesse Hankins of Tinley Park and Robert Hankins of Malden, Missouri; sisters, Imogene Canoy of Chesterfield, Missouri, Mary Widitz of St. Louis, Missouri; Florence Wyatt of St. Louis and Sheila Sprouse of Fort Myers, Florida; and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 2024, at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.

Burial will follow in the Wardell Cemetery.
