SPS Foundation’s individual donations fundraiser underway

SIKESTON — The Sikeston Public Schools Foundation is seeking support from individuals in the community as they hold the “SPS Foundation Individual Donations Fundraiser.”

Running through Sunday, Oct. 27, this initiative aims to raise funds to enhance educational experiences and support SPS teachers. This fundraiser will replace what used to be catalog fundraisers held by the SPS Foundation.

“With the generous contributions we are receiving, we will continue supporting our teachers and classrooms through our spring classroom teacher grants, where grants are given to enhance classroom resources,” said SPS Foundation District Liaison Natalie Coppage. “Every donation, no matter the size, is a step toward a brighter future for our students. Our community’s generosity will not only support immediate needs but also invest in the long-term success of our school community.”

Fifty percent of the donations will go directly back to the school building of the donor’s choice, and the other 50% of the donations go to the SPS Foundation for Classroom Teacher Grants.

“Plus, the classroom at each building with the most donations at the end of the fundraiser will

get a pizza party,” Coppage said. “Support from this fundraiser is crucial in helping us provide an outstanding education and preparing our students for a successful future.”
