Bicyclist dies in crash in Scott County

BLODGETT, Mo. — A bicyclist was struck and killed in an accident Wednesday, Nov. 13.

At 5:19 p.m. Wednesday, on Highway U, one mile west of Blodgett, an eastbound vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Benton resident struck a bicyclist in the roadway. The 20-year-old Blodgett man was pronounced dead at the scene by Scott County Coroner Scott Branam.

The death is the 59th reported fatality in the Troop E area.
