SIKESTON — Crews with J.F. Electric, which was contracted by Ameren, work to install new utility poles Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, in Historic Downtown Sikeston. The installation is part of a storm-hardening project between Morehouse and Sikeston to help address wind-related reliability issues in the region. These upgrades include the addition of airflow spoilers and more than two dozen composite and superstorm poles. The project began in Morehouse in August and is expected to be completed in Sikeston before Dec. 1.
