Laurie Ann Anderson Brown
SMYRNA, Tenn. — Laurie Ann Anderson Brown, 62, of Smyrna, formerly of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at Stone Crest Hospital in Smyrna.
Born Nov. 11, 1962, in Dexter, Missouri, Laurie was the cherished daughter of Shirley and Dewayne Miller. A devoted Christian, she was a member of Stones River Baptist Church in Smyrna, where she participated in the Prayer Shawl ministry. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University and dedicated her life to family, faith and creative passion.
On June 4, 2005, in Smyrna, she married Frederick (Freddie) Brown, who lovingly survives her. She is also survived by her parents, Shirley and Dewayne Miller; her daughter, Ashley Nicole Thompson; her grandson, Noah Thompson, who were the light of her life; and her two beloved dogs, Angel and Zeke.
Laurie was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Allen Anderson; and grandmother, Daisy Brown.
Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. She lived with grace, compassion and a servant’s heart, leaving a legacy of love and creativity for her family and all who knew her.
Visitation will from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Steve Francis, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories at Sikeston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
