ESSEX -- An Essex man died as the result of a single-vehicle accident Sunday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 9:12 p.m. on Route E, two miles north of Idalia. Gilbert D. Marler, 38, was traveling west when he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the north side of the roadway.
