SIKESTON — Frances Marie Watkins Blissett, 83, died Sept. 7, 2019, at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. Born Jan. 24, 1936, in Jackson, Tenn., daughter of the late Prentice and Beatrice Watkins, she was of the Christian belief. She graduated from Denmark High School in Denmark, Tenn., in 1954 and was also educated at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. She was trained and ordained at The Revival Center in Jackson and also received theological education from Valor Christian College in Columbus, Ohio. She and her husband evangelized in the Tri-County area of Scott County in the 1960s. They built Blissett Temple True Church of God, now known as Divine Temple, in Oran.
