SIKESTON — One man is dead after being shot Wednesday in Sikeston following an apparent altercation with a woman. According to Public Safety Officer Evelyn Aceves, public information officer with Sikeston Department of Pubic Safety, at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday, officers with Sikeston DPS responded to the 800 block of Lake Street in reference to a 40-year-old man receiving a single gunshot wound.

Sikeston woman dies in accident at her home

SIKESTON — A Sikeston woman’s daily routine turned deadly early Thursday following a vehicle accident at her home. At about 7:28 a.m. Thursday, officers with Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to the driveway of a residence in the 400 block of Shady Lane, where a 54-year-old woman was found unresponsive and pinned underneath her vehicle, according to DPS Chief James McMillen.
